Todowing

Todowing is a Chrome extension that shows Todoist sub-tasks nested under their parents in the views where Todoist normally lists tasks flat: Today, Upcoming, Boards, Filters, and Labels. Sub-tasks nest up to four levels deep, and each row shows its own due date, priority, and labels. You can check off or reopen a sub-task without opening the parent.

The free version covers the nesting, seven color palettes, and a text size slider from 85% to 200%, with up to 5 sub-task rows per top-level task. No account needed. A one-time $19.99 lifetime unlock removes the row limit and adds: adding, renaming, and reordering sub-tasks in the list; hiding done sub-tasks; filing a task under a parent in another project; focus sessions with a countdown that runs across tabs, plus time estimates; a picker with fifty Google Fonts; a notes pad above the Today list; and read-only Apple Calendar events on Today. There is no subscription, future upgrades are included, and purchases have a 14-day refund window.

It works on any Todoist plan in the Chrome web app, so Todoist Pro is not required. Your Todoist API token stays in your browser and goes only to the official Todoist API. Tasks never touch Todowing servers, and the extension has no analytics or tracking.

Todowing is unofficial and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Doist. It does not run in the Todoist desktop app.
